AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE VILLAGE OF
PLAINFIELD'S SIGN ORDINANCE
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, WILL COUNTY, AS FOLLOWS:
I. That Ordinance No. 1588, Section D, Wall Signs, is hereby amended by
adding paragraph 6, "Wall signage for commercial buildings over 40;000
square feet shall not exceed 1 '/z square feet of sign area for each one foot of
facade frontage, however, in no case shall any wall sign exceed four hundred
(400) square feet in area."
II. That paragraph 3 of Section D, Wall signs, is hereby amended by adding
"except as set forth in paragraph 6".
III. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its passage and approval
as required by law.
IV. This Ordinance shall be numbered as Ordinance No. 1853
PASSED THIS 7th DAY OF June 1999.
