AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PERSONAL
USE OF VILI..AGE VEHICLES
WHEREAS, recent Federal Legislation has repealed
certain retard keeping requirements in regards to the personal
use by employees of employer vehicles; and
WHEREAS, said legislation exempts vehicles by
reason of their nature are not likely to be used far personal
use from certain record keeping requirements; and
WHEREAS, such exemption will only apply if the
Village aff_icially prohibits the personal use of said vehicles
other than driving them from the work place to Name and from
home to the work place;

NOW, THEREFORE, SE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT
AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, WILL COUNTY,
ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
' Section 2-10-1: It is hereby declared that all
Village of Plainfield marked Police Department vehicles and all
other village trucks used to carry and stare emergency utility
repair equipment are prohibited from being operated far the
personal use of any employee, other than driving the vehicle
Pram the work place to home and from home back again to the work
place.
Section 2-1Q-2: That this Ordinance be in full
farce and effect from and after its passage and approval as pro-
vided by law.
PASSED this 5th day of Auqust, 1985.
This Ordinance shall be known as Ordinance
Na. 1090
