AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 7, ARTICLE 5, SECTION 5-2-1--1
of the Codified Ordinances of the VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, known as
the Electrical Code (.Ordinance No. 1010).
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, IN MEETING LAWFULLY
ASSEMBLED, AS FOLLOWS:
That Chapter 7, Article 5, Section 5-2-1-1 of the Codified
Ordinances of the Village of Plainfield is hereby .repealed.
SECTION 5-2-1-1: GENERAL PROVISIOtdS. The standards and
specifications, rules and regulations of the 1984 edition of the
National Fire Protection Association as contained in the code known
as the "National Electrical Code" and as approved by the American
~{ National Standards institute are hereby adopted as if the rules and
regulations were herein set forth, and except where they are in
conflict with other provisions of this Code. mhree copies of this
code in its entirety have been and are now filed in the office of
the Village Clerk for public use during normal business hours. All
electrical construction, all material and all apparatus must be as
approved by the Underwriters Laboratories, which Laboratories are
establa:shed and maintained by the American Insurance Association.
This Ordinance sha11 be numbered ~~, and shall be in
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in
pamphlet form by authori~ of the corporate authorities.
