REZONING AMENDMENTS TO zONING ORDINANCE NO. 674,
CHAPTER 8, ARTICLE 6, SECTIONS 6-1 THROUGH 6--35

Section 7-58: Rezoning of 504 Park Avenue

WHEREAS, a public hearing was duly advertised and held
on the amendment to said Chapter 8, Article 6, Sections 6-1
through 6-35 (Ordinance No. 674) of said Village of Flainfield
as hereinafter set forth; and
WHEREAS, the. Plan Commission of the Village of Plainfield
has heretofore filed a report of its acts and doings in the
premises and its recommendation that the petition for the re-
zoning of all of the real estate hereinafter described from
Residence A District to Residence A-1 District under said Chapter
Requiring Permits for Buildings, Structures, and Uses, Dividing
the Village into ^istricts, Specifying Minimum Lot Sizes, Set
Backs and Side Yards, Regulating the Bulk of F3uildings, Pro-
viding for Appeals and Imposing Penalities," be granted; and
WHEREA5, we believe that the highest and best use of the
real estate hereinafter described is for uses permitted in a
residence A-1 District under said Chapter 8, Article 6, Sections
6-1 through 6-35; and
WHEREAS, no written objections to the rezoning of said
premises were filed and no one appeared. in person to object to
the rezoning of said real estate; and
WHEREAS, the requirement of the Residence A-1 District
that a plot or site at least three times the square footage
of the floor space in the building be preserved is met by the
real, estate hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS it is the opinion of the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Plainfield that the petition for the
rezoning of the real estate hereinafter described shauld be
granted and that said real estate shauld be rezoned and reclass-
'~ ifled from Residence A District to Residence A-1 District under
`r said zoning Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT. AND BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE,VZLLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS,
AS FOLLOWS:

Section 7-58-1: Territory Described. That the following tract
of land, to--wit: ..- ~ T
The East 136.6 feet of Lot 3, excepting therefrom the North
66 feet thereof, and excepting therefrom the South 137.0
feet, and. excepting therefrom the South 87.4 feet of the
North 153.4 feet of the East 106.6 feet thereof, of E.
Corbin's Subdivision of part of the Northwest 1/4 of Sec-
tion 15, in Township 36 North, Range 9 East of the Third
Principal Meridian, lying North of the Norrth Line of
Ottawa Street extended East, situated in the Village of
Plainfield, Will County, Illinois. .
Commonly known as 504 Fark Avenue
which said tract of land is now a part of a Residence A District
as defined in Section 6-Z of said Chapter 8, Article 6 (Ordi-
nance No. 674) of the Village of Plainfield, of which this
Ordinance is amendatory, be and the same is hereby detached from
said Residence A District in which the same is now classified
and is hereby reclassified and rezoned as Residence A-1 District
under said Chapter 8, Article 6, Section 6-2 (Ordinance No. 674)
and is hereby added to and made a part of Residence A-1 District
under said Chapter 8, Article 6, Section 6-2.
Section 7-58-2: If Part Invalid. The invalidity of any part or
section hereof shall not effect the validity of the remainder
hereof.
Section 7--58-3: This Ordinance, numbered as ~D /,3 , shall be
in full force and effect after its passage and approval.
