ORDINANCE No. 3 / , 1951.
-AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT
OF A PARK FUND AS PROVIDED BY THE ACTS OF 19239 CHAPTER 67,
ARTICLE 6, PAGE 204; ACTS OF 19359 CHAPTER 99 ARTICLE 1,
RAGE 307., . and ACTS of 1949, CHAPTER 231, ARTICLE-1, PAGE
769, OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF INDIANA.
Section 1. BE IT ORDAINED by the Common
Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that , there be,
and there is, hereby established a special Park Fund to be
known and designated as "General Park Fund" as provided for
by the Acts of 1923, Chapter 67, Article 6, page 204; Acts
of 1935, Chapter 99, Article .1, page ,3.07, and Acts of 1949,
Chapter 231, Article 1, page 768, of the General Assembly of
the State of Indiana.
Section 2. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED. -that all sums
of money realized for park and recreation purposes from taxa-
tion, appropriation and the sale of bonds, sale or le,ase.of
privileges in the parks of said City, gifts, .donations, pay-
ments, or from any other source shall be credited to said
"General Park Fund" and not to:the General Fund of said City.
Section BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the
Board of Park Commissioners of said City shall have full,
complete and exclusive authority to expend for and on behalf
of said City all sums of money realized as set out in
Section two aforesaid, for the acquisition, improvement or
maintenance of parks or park property, '"'-or for any park
purpose, lut the said Board of -Park Commissioners shall have
no power to contract debts beyond the amounts which are or
will be thus available
Section 4. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that warrants
for all of. such expenditures shall be drawn by the Comptroller
of such City for expenditure upon a voucher of such Board,
signed by the president or vide -president, and Secretary.
