AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE RATE AND AMOUNT OF TAXES FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES
TO BE LEVIED ON PROPERTY AND POLLS WITHIN'THE CITY OF RICHMOND, WAYNE
COUNTY, INDIANA, FOR THE YEAR'195 1 AND COLLECTED IN 1952, AND PROVIDING
FOR THE TAILING EFFECT THEREOF.
SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAIiNED BY T P COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RICHMOND, WAYNE COUNTY, INDIANA, That the amount of taxes to be levied on
broperty and polls within the City of Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana,
for the year 1951, to be collected in 1952, shall be W7.,�C5,,QQ, and the
rate of such tax and purpose thereof shall be as follows: -
A. For the General Fund of said. City, the levy shall be o.4125
on each One Hundred Dollars assessed valuation, and this shall be ;placed
in the said General Fund with monies raised by poll tax which sum will
be 8222,115.30.
B. For the General Sinking Fund of said City for the purpose
of paying interest and principal on bonded indebtedness,'etc., of said
City, on each One Hundred Dollars assessed valuation, -,there shall be
levied $0.1275• 1 1
C. For the Police Pension Fund_ of said City, on each One Hun-
dred Dollars assessed valuation, there shall be levied 40.02.
D. For the O.A. S. Insurance coverage of the employees of a
Political Sub -Division of the State of Indiana as provided by Chapter
313, ACTS of 1951, on each One Hundred Dollars assessed valuation there
shall be levied M.0175•.
E. For the City Planning Commission of said City, on each
One Hundred_ Dollars assessed valuation there shall be levied .00.02.
F. For .the Park Department of said City on each One Hundred
Dollars assessed.valua.tion there shall be levied 40.2550.
G. And there shall also be assessed 'and. collected on each
taxable poll within the City of Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana, the
sum of �p0.25, making a total tax rate on properly within the City of
Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana, the spun of 5 O.8525 on each One Hundred
Dollars assessed valuation
SECTION 2. Said Taxes shall be paid and allocated as provided
by an ACT of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana, entitled,
"AN ACT GOVERNING MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS", approved -March 6, 1905, and
subsequent parts thereto amendatory and/or supplemental thereto or there-
for.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council of the City of Rich-
mond_, Wayne County, Indiana, properly signed by the President of Common
Council thereof, submission to and approval of the Mayor of the City
of Richmond, Indiana, and with notice as is required by law.
