AN ORDINANCE CHANGING RATE SCHEDULES AND RULES -AND REGU-
LATIONS OF THE DIUNICIPAL' ELECTRIC ..LIGHTING AND' POSTER
PLANT OF 'THE CIT'I- OF RICHMOND,' INDIANA: CANCELLING
PUBLIC. SERVICE C01VIIISSION OF INDIANA SCHEDULE NUMBER
E' 17 and E 18 AND SUPPLEMENTS, AND CREATING A NEW SCHE-
DULE TO BE KNOWN AS PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION OF INDIANA
NUMBER E 19, and REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH.
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of
Richmond; Indiana, acting as a Committee of a whole in
the management of the Municipal .Electric Lighting and
Power Plant'of said City, did on the first day of June,
1950, cause to be filed with the Public Service Commission

of the State of Indiana, its petition .praying for author-
ity to adjust rates and charges, for electric energy used
for industrial, commercial and domestic purposes for the
Municipal Electric Lighting and Power Plant, and
WHEREAS, on the 29th day of September, 1950,
and on the 16th day of October, 1950, said Public Service
Commission held and conducted a hearing upon said petition
in the State House in Indianapolis, Indiana, and
WHEREAS, on the 19th day of October, 1950, said
Commission by its order authorized and empowered the City
of Richmond to adjust and change the rates and charges of
its Municipal Electric Lighting and Power Plant as set out
in Exhibit number one to Exhibit number thirteen attached
hereto and made a part cf this Ordinance, and
WHEREAS on the said 19th day of October, 1950, said
Commission by its order approved Rules and Regulations for
said Municipal Electric Lighting and Power Plant as set out
in Exhibit number fourteen attached hereto and made a part
of this Ordinance, all of said rate schedules, rules and
regulations being known as P.S.C.I. E 19; effective as of
October 19th, 1950, and to apply to all electric energy
consumed after said date..
SEC. 1. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the
Common,Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that
the -order approved by the Public Service Commission of
Indiana:, as heretofore referred to, be, and the same is,
hereby ratified 'and approved,
-SEC.. 2. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the rates
as approved by the -order of the Public Service Commission
of,Indiana, as set.out in Exhibit Number one to Exhibit
Number thirteen, inclusive-, attached hereto and made.a
part of this, Ordinance, be, and the. same- are now hereby
declared_ to be' the. rates to -be.,,charged by the. Municipal
Electric Lighting and Power Plant of the City of Richmond,
for all. current consumed and billed - after the 19th day
of October, 1950,.
SEC. 3. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the rules
and regulations approved by the Public Service Commission
of Indiana, as set out 'in Exhibit Number fourteen attached
hereto and made a part of this Ordinance, b e, and the same
are now, hereby declared tb be -the, rules .and regulations
of the Municipal Electric Lighting and Power Plant effec-
tive as of the 19th day of October, _1950.
SEC. 4. That all Ordinances and parts of
Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby
repealed.
SEC. 5. • This Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect upon and after the passage thereof and approval
by the Mayor.
