AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 741-1.923, WITH ITS SUBSE-
QUENT AMENDMENTS, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, AP-
PROVED APRIL 24, 1923-, PROVIDING FOR THE.PUBLIC.ARION THEREOF
AND FIXING THE TIIJIE WHEN THE SAME SHALL TAKE EFFECT.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Rich-
mond, Indiana;
SECTION 1, WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 741-1923, commonly known
as the Zoning Ordinance and the Zone Map made a part thereof,
designates and describes, as "Dwelling House District", the foi-
lowing described territories in said City of Richmond, Wayne
County, State of Indiana, to -wit:
A tract of ground at the northwest corner of West Fifth and
Main Streets, bounded on the east by North West Fifth Street, on
the South bj# West Main Street., on the west by a line parallel
with and One Hundred (100) Feet west of west line of West Fifth
Street and on the north by a line parallel with and -Seventy -Five
(75) Feet north of the north line of Nest Main Street.
A tract of ground -on the northeast corner of West Fifth and
Main Streets, bounded on the West by North West Fifth Street, on
the south by West.Main Street, on the east by the west line of Lot
Number 14 in C. E. Shiveley and Aichard Sed .wick Addition and on
the north by the first alley north of- and. parallel with.West Fifth
Street.
A tract of ground at the southeast corner of West Fifth and
Main Streets, bounded on the west by South West Fifth Street, on
the north by West Main Street, on the east by the west line of Lot
Number 18 in Richard Sedgwick's Addition and on the south by the
first alley south of and parallel with .Nest Fifth. Street.
WHEREAS, it is the purpose and intention hereof to change the
use of said territories to "Business District".
NOW THEREFORE:
SECTION 2. It is hereby ordained that the use district in the
Zoning Ordinance and -,on the Zone Map be, and the same is hereby
changed covering the above described territories to "Business
District" and that the said territories and the use and. area thereof
