AN ORDINANCE to amend Section two and Section thtee of an Ordinance
No.'1351-1949,'relating to traffic in. the City of Richmond; prescrib-
ing regulations relative to the parking of vehicles upon such public
streets and highways; providing for the installation, operation, main-
tenance, supervision, regulation and control of the use of parking
meters, defining and providing for the establishment of parking meter
zones upon str-eets and highways; providing for the payment thereof., and
for the supply of parts thereof,• and for the supply of parts thereof
exclusively from the receipts obtained from the operation of parking
meters; providing for the enforcement hereof and providing penalties
for the violation hereof.
SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED by, the Common Council of the
City of Richmond that Section two of Ordinance.No.- 1351-19hg'be amend'
ed to read as follows: ~
SECTION 2. In order to effect the purpose in this -Ordin-
ance expressed, there are hereby established and fixed certain :zones
to be known as parking meter zones in the following streets and avenues
in the City of Richmond;
(;a) Main --Street from the west side of Fourth Street to
the east side of Eleventh -Street; Fort Wayne Avenue from north wide
of D Street'to the west side of.North Sth Street; Eighth Street, Ninth
Street and Seventh Street from the south side -of North "A1l Street
to the north.side ofSouth-"A" Street. .
(b) Fifth.Street, Sixth Street and Tenth Street from the
south side of Nort h."A" Street to the north side of South;"A" Street.
(c) North and South "A" Streets from the west side,of.
Fifth Street to the, -east -side of Tenth Street.
And from time to time hereafter as traffic conditions re-
quire, in such other streets and avenues as are designated by Ordin-
ance of the Council for the.location of -such zones.
In any, of the said parking meter zones or any
parts' or portions -,of said. separately desinated parking
meter zones, the -Board of public Works and Safety may
cause parking- meters t`o be- installed at each space in
such zone, or -,zones, 'in Its discretion,, -available .for -
parking. of. vehicle:; or vehicles, and shall see that there
shall be: plainly nd cat'ed�, .on' each of ,such meters:' the
time limitations, for parking.. Such time;*' limitation ''shall:.'.
be designated by appropriate : notioe. 'p.osted' in- proximity'
of such meters.
SECTION. 2. BE. IT FURTHER .ORDAINED by the Common
Council of the City of Richmond that .-Section three of
, Ordinance No. ' 1351-1918 be amended. to read as.. follows;

'parking in the- zones, designated, in Section 2 of this Ordin-
ance, and the charge made-' for the' us of each of 'Sikh.
parking spaces, and. the money to be placed in ,the ,meter .in
_ each particular.. parking space designated by the person
using such parking space,, in. such zone or zones, shall be
as follows;
(a,) One hour, .,five 0 .cent coin of the United
-States; ..twelve minutes, one: (1). cent of the United States.
( Yi) acidjc) Two hours;', two five' (.5) cent 'coins
of t he Unit ed .States, or. one, hour, f ive cent c oin of. the
United States; twelve minutes, one '(1) cent coin of the
Unit ed States.
This Ordinance shall be in- full -force ail" effect
