SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COt124ON COUNCIL 01' THE CITY OF RICHMOND, I&YNE COUNTY, INDIANA, that the amount of taxes to be levied on property and polls within the City of Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana, for the year 1949, to be'collect- ed in 1950, shall be $451,498.44, and that the rate of such tax and the purpose there- of shall be as follows: A. For the General Fund of said City, the levy shall be $0.735 on each one hundred dollars assessed valuation, and there shall be placed in the said General Fund from money raised by poll tax the sun of $370,599.15. B. For the General Sinking Fund of said City for the purpose of paying in- terest and principal on bonded indebtedness, etc., -of said City, on each one hundred dollars assessed valuation, there shall be levied $0.125. C. For the Police Pension Fund of said City, on each one hundred dollars assessed valuation, there shall be levied $0.02. D. For the Municipal Airport Operating Fund of said City, on each one hundred dollars assessed valuation, there shall be levied $0.0125. E. For the City Planning Commission Fund of said City,on each one hundred dollars assessed valuation, there shall be levied $0.0025, F. And there shall also be assessed and collected on each taxable poll within the City of Richmond, the sum of $0.25, making a total tax rate on property within the City of Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana, the sum of $0,995 on each one hundred dollars assessed valuation. SECTION 2. Said taxes shall be collected and paid and allocated as pro- vided by an Act of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana, entitled, "AN ACT GOVIRNING MUNICIPAL CORPORATION", approved March 6, 1905, and subsequent parts there- to amendatory and/or supplemental thereto or therefor. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, properly signed by the President thereof, sub- mission to and the approval of the Mayor, and with notice as is required by law.
