AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE RATE AND THE AMOUNT OF TAXES FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES TO BE
LEVIED ON PROPERTY AND POLLS WITHIN THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, FOR THE YEAR
194g and COLLECTED IN 1949, AND PPOVIDING FOR THE TAKING EFFECT THEREOF.
Section 1. BE IT ORDAIEED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
that the amount -of taxes to be,levied on property and polls within the City of
Richmond, Indiana, for the year of 1949 to be collected in 1949, shall be
$ 709,504.46 and that the rate of such tax and the purpose thereof sWI.be as
follows:
A. For the General Fund of'said City the levy shall be $1:27,-on each one hundred
dollars assessed valuation and there shall be placed in tle said General Fund from
money raisedcby poll tax- the'sum of--$622,501.33. '
B. For the General Sinking Fund of said City for the pulpose of paying interest
and principal on bonded indebtedness, e0. of said City on each one hundred dol-
lars assessed valuation there shall be levied $4.12.
C, For the Police Pension Fund of said City on each one hundred dollars assessed
valuation there shall be levied $0.02,
D. For the Municipal Airport Operating Fund of.said City on each one hundred dol-
lars assessed valuation there shall be levied $0,035-
E. For the City Planning Commission Fund of said City one each one hundred dollars
assessed valuation there shall be levied-$0.0025.
F. And there shall also be assessed and collected on each taxable poll within the
City of Richmond, the sum of $0.25 making a total tax rate on property within the
City of Richmo#,djayne, Co nty, Indiana, the sum of $1.4475 on each one hundred
dollars assessed valuation.
Section 2. Said taxes shall be collected and paid and allocated as provided by an
Act of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana, entitled,10AN,ACT GOVERNING
MUNICIPAL CORPOR&TION", approved March 6th,1905 and subsequent parts thereto
amendatory and/or supplemental thereto or thereof.
Section 3, This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage by the .Common Council, properly signed by the President thereof, submission
to and the approval of the Mayor and with notice as is required by Law.
