E®17 AS TO CITY LIGHTING RATE "A", CITY POWER RATE "C", RURAL POWER RATE "D" AND BREAKDOWN .AND AUXILIARY RATE "E", THE NEW SCHEDULE =BY CREATED TO BE KNO10 AS PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION Or INDIANA SCHEDULE NO. E-18; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES LND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREIiITH. WHEREAS, The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, acting as a committee as a whole in the management of the Municipal Electric Lighting and Power Plant of the City of Richmond, did on the 16th day of August, 1948, cause to be filed with the Public Service Commission of the state of Indiana, its petition praying for authority to increase rates and charges for electric energy produced, distributed and sold by its said Municipal Electric sighting and Power Plant, as in the opinion of the Commission it might deem just and proper, and WHEREAS, on the 19th day of October, 1948, said Public Service Commission held and conducted a hearing upon said petition in the State House in Indianapolis, Indiana, and WHEREAS, on the loth day of November, 1948, said Commission by its order authorized the Municipal Electric Lighting and Power Plant to change and increase the following rates: City Lighting Ra_ to "A!' from for the next 500 IgiH used per month, $.02 per KWH and for all over 1000 I91H used per month, $.01? per KUH to for all over 500 KWH used per month, $.02 per Kai. Citv Power Rate "C" from for the next /+0,000 MIH used per month, 6.0125 per 0H to $.0135 per KWH. For the next 50,000 KVIH used per month from $.Ol per K6JH to $.0125 per KVH. For all over 100,000 KWH used per month, from $.008 per KWH to $.009 per KWH. Rural Power Rate "D" from for the next 402000 KWH used per month, 8.0125 per KE to $.0135 per KWH. For the next 50,000 KffH used per month, $.01 per KWH to $.0125 per K0. For all over 100,000 KWH used per month $.008 per KWH to $.009 per KWH. Breakdown and Auxiliary Rate "E" from for the next 40,000 KRH used per month, $.001� per Ky:rH to $.0135 per KWH. For the next 50,000 KffH used per month, $.01 per MSM to $.0125 per KffH. For all over 100,000 KUuH used per month, .008 per KVIH to $.009 per KffH. ALL OTHER RATES TO REMAIN THE SAME. SAID RATES TO BECOME EFFECTIVE ON THE LOTH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1948" AND TO APPLY TO ALL CURRENT CONSUMED AFTER THAT DATE. It was further ordered on all average rates of $.02 and less, whenever, during_, any period of three successive calendar months the plant's average cost of fuel increases at least one full cent above the base cost of twenty. -nine and -one-half cents (29-14) per million B.T.U., then bills computed under this schedule for service supplied for the second calendar month following such period shall be adjusted as follows: For each full cent (10) increase over the base cost, .163 mills ($.000163) will be added for each kilowatt hour billed for those consumers affected. SECTION 1. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that the order approved by the Public Service Commission of the State of Indiana, as herein referred to, be, and the same is, hereby ratified and approved. SECTION 2. That the rates as changed by the order of The Public Service Commission of Indiana as heretofore set out and as follows, to wit: City Lighting Rate "At° from for the next 500 MH used per month, $.02 per KWH and for all over 1000 KWH used per month, $:01z per KrH to for all over 500 KWH used per month, 0.02 per KWH. City Power Rate "C" from for the next 40.,000 KWIH used per month, $.0125 per KRH to 6.0135 per KWH. For the next 50,000 M11H used per month from $.Ol`per M to $.0125 per h7hH. For all over 100,000 KWI used per month, from 0.008 per KWH to 6.009 per KWH. Rural Power Rate "D" from for the next 40,000 KWH used per month, $.0125 per ETIH to $.0135 per -UH. ALL OTIM RATES TO POIAIN TITS S:ANlE . be, and the same are, now hereby declared to be the rates to be charged by the Municipal.Electric Lighting and Power Plant of the City of Richmond for current consumed and billed after the loth day of November, 19/p8, and that on all average rates of $.02 and less whenever, during any period of three successive calendar months the plant's average cost of fuel increases at least one full cent above the base cost of twenty-nine and one-half cents (29-210) per million B.T.U., then bills computed under this schedule for service supplied for the second calendar month following such period shall be adjusted as follows: For each full cent (10) increase over the base cost, .163 mills ($.000163) will be added for each kilowatt hour billed for those consumers affected, and that this schedule be known as Public Service Commission of Indiana Schedule No. E-18, cancelling in part Public Service Commission of Indiana Schedule No. E-17 as above set out. SECTION 3. That all rates, rules and regulations of the Municipal Electric Lighting and Power Plant of the City of Richmond heretofore in force and effect and not changed by the order of the Public'Service Commission of Indiana, above referred to, shall be and are to remain in full force and effect. SECTION /+. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances. in conflict with this ordinance, are hereby repealed. SECTION 5. THIS ORDINANCE shall be in full force said effect upon and after the passage thereof, signature by -the President of Common Council, and submission to and approval by the Mayor.
