ADJOURNMENT Regular Meeting —April 18, 2013 Motion Second Vote Time - 2 - 1 CITY OF LYNWOOD REGULAR MEETING OF THE PERSONNEL BOARD DECEMBER 20, 2012 The regular meeting of the Personnel Board of the City of Lynwood was held on Thursday, December 20, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, Lynwood, California. The agenda was duly posted as prescribed by the Brown Act. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Commissioner Robinson. Roll call was taken by Alfredo Lopez, HR Director. Commissioner Attendance: Present— Bradley, Robinson; and Esparza Absent— Esparza and Battle Staff Present: Alfredo Lopez, HR Director PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Led by Commissioner Robinson. APPROVAL OF MINUTES The motion was made by Commissioner Robinson and seconded by Commissioner Bradley to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of November 15, 2012. All in favor. Motion carried. PUBLIC ORALS - None INFORMATIONAL ITEMS Mr. Lopez informed the Board that the City facilities would be closed from Tuesday December 25th to January 1St. City will resume business on Wednesday January 2nd There will also be a Council Meeting on Wednesday January 2, 2013. He also provided the members with an update on the Park Place Project that was in the Lynwood N Perspective. - 3 - NEW/OLD BUSINESS Mr. Lopez informed the Board that during the FY 13 budget process, staff was asked by Council to update the position titles of a few Public Works Department positions since many of these positions were not certified engineers. Staff met and conferred with both labor unions and expressed no opposition. Staff compared the position tiles and duties with other cities and determined the following recommendation title changes: Old Job Title New Job Title Public Works Engineering Manager Senior Public Works Manager Civil Engineering Associate Public Works Associate Civil Engineering Assistant Public Works Assistant Civil Engineering Technician Public Works Technician Mr. Lopez then requested that the board approve the position title changes only. The motion was made by Commissioner Bradley and Commissioner Espinoza seconded to approve staffs recommendation on the position title changes only. All in favor. Motion carried. COMMISSIONER & STAFF ORALS Commissioner Bradley is unhappy with the turnaround of the graffiti removal. Mr. Lopez informed the Board that Diane Strickfaden, Senior HR Analyst left Lynwood to go to Hermosa Beach. CLOSED SESSION The Board adjourned to closed session. The Eligibility List for the position of Maintenance Worker was approved. All favor. Motion carried. ITEMS TO BE AGENDIZED - none ADJOURNMENT Commissioner Bradley made the motion to adjourn and Commissioner Espinoza seconded. The meeting adjourned at 5:45 p.m. All in favor. Motion carried. - 4 -
