RE: Salary Ordinance 25-2021, Network Administrator/System Engineer
Information Technology Department respectfully request approval of an Salary
Ordinance (25-2021) with regards to the position of Network Administrator/System
Engineer.
This position has been vacant since Jan 11th, 2021 and consistently advertised through
postings by the City Human Resource Department. To offset the vacancy in this position
the past incumbent was contracted to address advanced technical support issues. Of the
applications (15) received for the position, all were missing the basic qualifications of
experience/knowledge with regards to our current hardware/software infrastructure. Past
incumbents and applicants were contacted and none were interested in applying due to
current salary level.
This position is critical to the city, as it provides all security, networking and data
management for access by all city employees in the completion of their duties.
Respectfully requesting that this salary be increased to $51, 595 annually.
