ORDINANCE NO-12% —1945
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE TRANSFER FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING AND POWER PLANT TO VARIOUS FUNDS OF SAID
CITY THE SUM OF $3009000.00 IN INSTALLMENTS UPON CALL BY THE CITY
CONTROLLER BETWEEN JANUARY let, 1946 AND D ECEMBER 31st, 1946 INCLUSIVE
AND PROVIDING FOR THE TAKING EFFECT TH-.qREOF.
Section 1. Be it ordained by the -Common Council of the City of Rich"
mond, Indiana., as follows, to --wit : That the stun ofp ®OO o 00
lip be and the same hereby le ordered tranaf erect from the General Fund
of the Municipal Electric Lighting and Power Plant to the City of
Richmond, Indiana, for the purpose of helping defray its Governmental
expenses and that said sum be available on call by the Controller of the
City of Richmond with approval of the Mayor to the said Municipal
Electric Lighting and Power Plant on and after the let day of January,
1946 up to and including the 31st day of December, 1946.
Section 2. The Clerk of said City shall give notice, as required by
law ®f the pendency of this ordinance and the purposes thereof by
posting written notices thereof in atb least three public places
within the limits of the City of Richmond, Indiana., stating the time,
place and date when and where said Common Council will meet and.
consider the game, and that the Clerk shall make proper proof of the
posting thereof and submit the same to Council before final passage
of said Ordinance.
Section 3. Be it further -ordained that the proper officers of said
City are hereby authorized, empowered and. directed to make, eddect and
complete said #ransfer of said funds as authorized and designated in
Section 1 hereof.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, compliance by the City Clerk as ordered, and the
approval of the Mayor,
