ORDINANCE NO. 1539
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD AMENDING THE
REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR REDEVELOPMENT
PROJECT AREA A PURSUANT TO SENATE BILL 211
AS CODIFIED IN HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE
SECTION 33333.6(e)(2)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Redevelopment Plan for Redevelopment Project Area A (hereinafter,
the "Plan") is hereby amended to delete from the Plan any and all time limits stated in-the Plan
that purport to place on the Lynwood Redevelopment Agency any time deadline on the
establishment of loans, advances, and indebtedness with respect to the Plan or Project Area.
SECTION 2. The foregoing amendment to the Plan is effected pursuant to the authority
established by Senate Bill 211, effective January I, 2002, which is codified in pertinent part in
Health and Safety Code Section 33333.6(e)(2), which states in pertinent part: "On or after
January 1, 2002, a redevelopment plan may be amended by a legislative body by adoption of an
ordinance to eliminate the time limit on the establishment of loans, advances, and indebtedness
required by this section prior to January 1, 2002. In adopting this ordinance, neither the
legislative body nor the agency is required to comply with [Health and Safety Code] Section
33354.6 or Article 12 (commencing with Section 33450) or any other provision of this part
relating to the amendment of redevelopment plans, except that the agency shall make the
payment to affected taxing agencies required by [Health and Safety Code] Section 33607.7."
SECTION 3. Except as amended hereby, the Plan shall remain in full force and effect
according to its terms.
SECTION 4. All required proceedings and considerations precedent to the adoption of
this Ordinance have been regularly taken in accordance with applicable law.
SECTION 5. The City Manager shall notify the appropriate public entities of the
adoption of this Ordinance.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk is authorized and directed to publish this Ordinance or a
summary thereof in the manner provided by law and in accordance with procedures normally
taken.
First read at a regular meeting of the Lynwood City Council held on the 18'h day
of November, 2003 and adopted and published at a regular meeting of said Council held on the
3rd day of December 2003 1--)
