HomeMy Public PortalAbout05-06-2021 THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND,INDIANA, MAY 6, 2021 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., Thursday, May 6, 2021, in the Hutton Community Room at the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond, Indiana. CALL TO ORDER President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Vicki Robinson, Emily Palmer and Matt Evans. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels,Assistant City Attorney; Monica Burns,Deputy City Clerk; Lieutenant Donnie Benedict; and, Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Ms.Palmer moved to approve the minutes of April 29,2021, supported by Mr.Evans. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Evans moved to approve the Claims for Payment for May 7, 2021 in the amount of Ninety Nine Thousand Five Hundred Fifty Two Hundred Dollars and thirty two cents ($99,552.32), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Evans moved to approve the Payroll Claims for Payment for May 7, 2021 in the amount of Seven Hundred Fifty One Thousand Five Hundred Thirty Five Dollars and fifty two cents ($751,535.52), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT FOR PENSION REQUESTS -None REQUESTS • NEW HANDICAP SIGNS 510 North 20th Street Board of Works Minutes May 6,2021 Ms. Palmer moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. 311 NW"J" Street Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. • HANDICAP SIGN RENEWALS 405 Sedgwick Street 605 South 10th Street 526 North 22nd Street 612 South 14th Street 17 South 20th Street 722 North 15th Street 320 South 12th Street Ms. Palmer moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • STREET CLOSURE Model T Museum Homecoming June 18, 2021 starting at 11:00 p.m.they are requesting the following road closures: North 8th Street from North"C"to North"E" Streets Elm Place from North 8th Street to under the bridge but not extending to North 10th Street North"C" Street from North 8th Street to North 7th Street Streets will be used for Swap Meet vendor spaces and parking Model T's and other pre- 1945 Fords. North"D" Street would remain barrier-free for east-west access. The event will be ending Friday June 19, 2021 8:00 p.m. They request barriers be delivered by 8:00 p.m. June 18th, 2021. Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. Oktoberfest Depot Association On Saturday September 25, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. They are requesting to block the following streets for vendors to set up: • Ft Wayne Ave,North 8th Street between"D" and "E" Streets Board of Works Minutes May 6,2021 Elm Place between 8th & 10th Streets 9th Street under the bridge Ms. Palmer moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans. BID OPENINGS-None BID AWARDS—None CONTRACTS -None CHANGE ORDERS • CURB CUTS 2931 South"E" Street Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Palmer.Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. 4418 Polver Way Ms.Palmer moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans.Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. 2615 Chancery Lane Mr.Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Palmer.Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried.
