AN ORDINANCE TO ANNEX TO THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, AND ZONE CERTAIN
TERRITORY CONTIGUOUS THERETO; DESCRIBING -THE SAME, AMENDING, SUPPLEMENTING
AND CHANGING GENERAL ORDINANCE No. 741-1923, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING
ORDINANCE, PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION THEREOF, AND FIXING THE TIME
WHEN THE SAME SHALL TAKE EFFECT,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, WAYNE
COUNTY, INDIANA.
SECTION No. 1--That the following described territory be annexed to and
declared to.be a part of the said City of Richmond, Indiana:
. Being a part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 19, a pert of the
Southwest -Quarter of Section 20 and a part of'' the East Half of Section
30, Township 14 North, Range 1 West and;
- Beginning at the point -of intersection of the center line of U. S.
Highway 35, also known as the Williamsburg Pike, with the center line of
a County Road at a point 980 feet, measured west at right angles, from
the east line of said Section 30, said point of beginning being in the
present westerly corporation line of the City'of Richmond;
thence northwestwardly, along the center line of said U. S. Highway
35, to its intersection with the west line,of the Southeast Quarter of
Section 19;'
thence north, along the said west line. of the Southeast Quarter of
Section 19, 965 feet more or less, to the.center line of a.public road,
being the north line of property of The Perfect Circle Company;
thence east, along the center line of said public road, 1270 feet
more or less, to the westerly right of way line of the Chesapeake and
Ohio Railway;
thence.southeastwardly, along the.said westerly,right of way line
of.the Ch:eaapeake and Ohio Railway, to the south line of Section 20;
thence west, along the south line.of said Section 20,-to the north-
east corner of Section 30, being in the center line of.the Union Pike;
thence south, along the east line of Section,30, 943.8 feet more
or less to a point in the present northerly corporation line of the
City of Richmond;
thence west, parallel with the north..line of Section 30, 980 feet;
thence south;- parallel with the east line of said Section 30 to
the place of beginning.
SECTION No. 2--BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED --That the provisions of General
Ordinance No. 241-1923, commonly.known as the Zoning Ordinance, approved
April 24, 1923, and as amended, be and are hereby amended, supplemented,
changed and extended so as to include the above described territory,
which shall be zoned as follows:
INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT
2400 Sq. Ft.,AREA.DISTRICT
80 Ft. HEIGHT DISTRICT
SECTION No. 3--BE IT'FURTHER ORDAINED--That-the following described
territory be - Annexed to and declared to.be A part of the said City
of Richmond, Indiana:
Being a part of the East Half of.Section 30, Township 14 North,
Range 1 West, and;
Beginning at the same place of beginning as described in the above
SECTION No. 1;
thence south, along the said County Road 977 feet more or less, to
the center line of a public road, formerly a part of the Williamsburg
Pike;
thence east, along the last mentioned public road, to the center
line of U. S. Highway 35 and the present corporation line of the City
of Richmond;
thence northwestwardly,'aloni the center line of said U. S. Highway
35 to the place of beginning..
SECTION No, 4--BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED --That the provisions of General
Ordinance No. 741-1923, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, approved
April 24, 1923, and as amended, be and'are hereby amended, supplemented,
changed and extended so as to include the above described territory,
which shall be zoned as follows:
DWELLING HOUSE DISTRICT
4800 Sq- Ft. AREA DISTRICT
50 Ft- HEIGHT DISTRICT

SECTION 'No. `5--this ordinance shall be in full -force -and effect, from

law required.
