AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR -THE TRANSFER FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF THE MUNI-
CIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING AND POWER PLANT TO VARIOUS FUNDS OF. SAID CITY' OF
RICHMOND., INDIANA THE SUM OF 4 300 000.00 IN STALLMENTS UPON CALL BY
THE CITY -CONTROLLER, OF. SAID CITY BE VVEEN JANUARY 1st., 1948 and DECEMBER
31st0 19489 INCLUSIVE .;AND PROVIDING FOR THE' TAKING EFFECT allIREOF.-
Section 1. Be,it ordained -by the common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, as follows, to -wit: That the sum of # 300 00.00 -be .and -the.
same is hereby ordered transferred from the General r'und of Municipal
Electric Lighting and Power. Plant to. the City of Richmond, Indiana for the
purpose of helping defray its governmental expenses and that said sum be
made available upon.,call by "the Controller of said City of __Richmond with
the approval of the Mayor on and after, January 1st, .1948 'up to -and including
the 31st day of December, 1948,
Section 2.. ' `1'he. Clerk of said- City shall give; ,notice, , as is required .by
law of the pendency of this ordinance and the purposes thereof by posting
written notices thereof in at least ' threepublic places within the limits
of the said City of Richmond, Indiana, stating the time,- place and date
where said Common Council will meet and consider the same,, and that said Clerk
shall 'make proper. proof of the posting thereof and submit the same to Council
before f inal passage; of said - ordinance..
Section 3. '.Be it further ordained that the' proper officers- of said" City are
hereby authorized, empowered and directed to make and complete said transfer
of .said funds as -authorized, and -designated in the foregoing sections.
Section 4. This ' ordinance shall be in full force_ and ' effect from and after
it's'passage, compliance by the Clerk as ordered, signature of the President,
and approval by the Mayor...
