AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS-FROM.ACCOUNT NO.
26 COMMON COUNCIL CONTINGENCY 'FUND TO S'L'TAGE DISPOSAL -PLANT ACCOUNT NO.98
for GASOLENE, DECLARING AN,EMERGENCY THEREFORE AND PROVIDING FOR THE TAKING
EFFECT THEREOF.
WHEREAS various and.sundry filter plates in. the various tanks at the
Sewage, Disposal Plant of the City -of Richmond, Indiana have thru age and
use deteriated along with -various parts thereof demanding and calling for
repair and replacement and
WHEREAS in order to make the necessary repairs and replacements it has
become necessary to .pump vast, .quantities of RrAter out of said tanks to
reach said ;plates a nd .parts. 'and'
WHEREAS said repairs ,and replacements could. not, be Anticipated and
WHEREAS said removal of said water from -said tanks requires the con-
stant'pumping by pumps activated by gasolene motors and
tiVHEREA9 S1JFFICIENT FUNDS for the purchase of gasolene -for sadd emergency
are' not available. to said S'w6ge Disposal. Plant
NOW 'THEREFORE
section 1.• Be 'it'ordained by 'the-Commca'n._Counell of -the, City, bf Richmond
Indiana that there, be and. -there hereby,•is appropriated the sum of One Hundred
Dollars from ,Account No. 26 Common, Council Conti ngency Fund to. Sewage
Disposal ,Plant Account No* .98' for' g"'- i l.ene` .
Section 2. -That the m'oney:'so'.placed .in.'sai.d'fund, to -wit One Hundred
Dollars, be used for the purposes •and ..for, the 'reason. as set forth in the
preamble to this ordinance and that an extraordinary emergency exists de-
maning the passage hereof.
SECTION 3. This. ordinance shall bb . in full force a n3 effect from and
after it's passage. by Council, .submission' -to• and Approval .of the Mayor of
said City.
