AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE RATE AND THE AMOUNT -OF TAXES FOR MUNICIPAL
PURPOSES TO BE LEVIED ON PROPERTY•'AND- POLLS -WITHIN- THE. CITY OF
RICHMOND, INDIANA, FOR THE YEAR 1942,'AND COLLECTED IN..THE YEAR
1943.
SECTION 1. Be At ordained by'the Common Council of,the City of
Richmond, Indiana, that .the: amount of taxes, to be levied on- property
and polls within the City of Richmond., Indiana for 1942 and collected
in 1943 shall be, 461,057#00 and the rate of such tax and the purposes
thereof shall be as follows:
(A) For the GENERAL.FUND of said•City' there• shall. be''•no levy but .'there
shall be placed in said General.Fund from moneys raised by poll't-
ax the
sum of $1565.50.
(B) For the SINKING FUND. of said City for the payment of interest and
principal on bonded indebtedness, etc.'of said City on each one hundred
dollars assessed valuation -there shall be levied eleven cents and seven
mills.
(C). For the. POLICEMENS PENSION .FUND of said City on each hundred dollars a
assessed, valuation there -.shall be levied two cents.
(D) For the FIREMENS PENSION.FUND of said City'on each hundred -dollars
assessed valuation there shall. be. levied two cents.'.
(E) For the City -PPlanning . Commission ; of s aid ' C i'ty on each ,hundred
dollars assessed valuation there.shall-be 1&vied live mills.
(F) And there shall alsoa[ - be assessed and collected on each taxable - poll
within said City , of;. Richm®nd, -, Lndiana, the sumof twenty-five ' cents making
a total 'tax, rate on property within. the., City ,of, Rlchmond, Indiana., the.
sum of sixteen , cents and- two .mills on each, one 'hundred dollars 'assessed
-•valuat oR:
SECTION 2: Said taxes shell be'collected an-d,paid as provided by 'an
-.'Apt of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana, entitled"AN
ACT CONCERNING MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS".approved March 6th, 1905,'and
-911 parts thereof amendatory and/or supplemental thereto.
SECTION 9 3. This ordinance shall be in 'full force and .,effect from and
after its passage by Common Council, submission. -to and .approval .of the
Mayor.
