Minutes of Meeting – 03 January 2019
The Hopkinton Open Space Preservation Commission (OSPC) met in the 3rd Floor Meeting
Area, Town Hall, 18 Main Street Hopkinton, Massachusetts.
Present: Fran DeYoung, Ed Harrow, Nancy Peters
7:30 PM: Review status of site walk for 0 Sylvan Way (R16 27 0)
A discussion was held with Mr. Barry Rosenbloom, Hopkinton Area Land Trust, regarding the
area of lawn encroachment onto the 0 Sylvan Way parcel. Ms. Peters made a motion to send a
letter to the property owners at 73 Winter Street notifying them that the OSPC will install
signage to demarcate the property bounds reviewed during the 16 December 2018 site walk and
to request the property to refrain from any further mowing of the town-owned property in order
to allow the town-owned property to naturally revegetate. The motion was seconded by Mr.
DeYoung and it passed unanimously.
8:00 PM: OSPC Business
Ms. Peters made a motion to approve the draft minutes of 06 December 2018. The motion was
seconded by Mr. DeYoung and it passed unanimously.
8:05 PM: Adjournment
Mr. DeYoung made a motion to adjourn the public meeting. The motion was seconded by Ms.
Peters and it passed unanimously.
