Stacie L. Cormier, being duly sworn on an oath, states
or affirms that she is the Publisher of the newspaper
known as
South Crow River News
and has full knowledge of the facts which are stated
below.
(A) The newspaper has complied with all of the require-
ments constituting qualification as a qualified news-
paper as provided by Minn. Stat. § 331A.02,
§ 331A.07, and other applicable laws as amended.
(B) The printed public notice that is attached was pub-
lished in the newspaper once each week for one
successive week(s); it was first published on
Monday, the 30 day of July , 2007,
and was thereafter printed and published on every
Monday to and including Monday, the day of
2007; and printed below is a copy of
the lower case alphabet from A to Z, both inclusive,
which is hereby acknowledged as being the size and
kind of type used in the composition and publication
of the notice:

640.07 and 640.09 and Adding
S>ction 640.29 Relating to Peddlers,
S licitors and Transient Merchants.
The city council of the city of
M:dina ordains as follows:
S:CTION I. Medina Code Section
64. is hereby amended by deleting
the ctrick n material and adding the
un.erlined material as follows:
S:ction 640.07. A. .lication.
A. •lication for a license shall be made
to he city clerk -treasurer on forms pro-
vi•ed by the city. The application shall
co tain at least the following informa-
tio .
(a name and physical description of
the applicant, along with valid
photo identification;
(b complete permanent home and
local address of the applicant and,
for transient merchants, the local
address from which proposed
sales will be made;
(c) a brief description of the nature of
the business and the goods to be
sold;
(d the name and address of the
employer, principal or supplier of
the applicant, together with creden-
tials therefrom establishing their
relationship;
e, a Minnesota Tax Identification
Number or Federal Tax
Identification Number or a sufficient
explanation to why one is not
required -
al the dates and hours of the day
during which the business will be
carried on;
(#+ (g) the source of supply of the
goods or property proposed to be
sold, or orders taken for the sale
thereof, the location of such goods
or products at the time of the appli-
cation, and the proposed method
of delivery;
MI a recent photograph of the
applicant, which shall be approxi-
mately 2" by 2" and show the head
and shoulders of the applicant in a
clear and distinguishable manner;
u a statement as to whether the
applicant has been convicted of
any crime, misdemeanor, or viola-
tion of any municipal ordinance,
other than traffic violations, the
nature of the offense and the pun-
ishment or penalty assessed

ties, not to exceed five in number,
where the applicant carried on sim-
ilar business immediately preced-
ing the date of application and the
address from which such business
was conducted in those munici-
palities-; and
(k) if a vehicle is to be used, a
description of the vehicle, together
with state of registration and
license number or other means of
identification.
The Applicant shall also display to the
city clerk -treasurer the peddler's or
transient merchant's license issued to
him or her by Hennepin county, pur-
suant to Minnesota Statutes, Sections
329.02 through 329.08 or Sections
329.099 through 329.17, respectively.
No license shall be issued by the city
unless all information required by this
section has been provided by the
applicant or sufficient reason has been
given for failure to provide it.
Section 640.09. License Fee. The
application for a license shall be
accompanied by a fee e€$244g3 set by
ordinance in the city fee schedule.
The fee shall be non-refundable and
shall not be prorated even if the
license is issued for less than a full
year.
Section 640.29. Hours of
Solicitations. Peddlers and solicitors
shall be permit holders under this
Chapter from Monday to Saturday
between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 7:00
p.m., or until sundown, whichever
occurs first; and, Sundays between the
hours of Noon and 5:00 p.m., or until
sundown, whichever occurs first.
Section II. This ordinance shall take
effect upon its adoption by the city
council and publication in the City's
official newspaper.
Adopted by the Medina city council
on the 3 day of July, 2007.
