,An ordinance fixing the rate and
the n-Taount of taxes for rlUn&CiDal
purposep to be levied on property
and polls within ' the City of
Richmond, Indiana0for the year
19401 and collected in the year
1941.
SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED BY WIF C0171.,Okl COIMICIL OF
THE CITY OF R101MOND, MDIANA, that the amount of taxes
to be levied on property and polls trithin said city for
1940 and collectible in the year 1941, shall be Seventy
Nine Thousand Nine Hundred Forty-two and 41/100 Dollars
,(079,942.41). and the rate of such tax and the pu,rposes
thereof shall be as tollows:
(A) For the General Flund of said city on the
one hundred dollars assessed valuation, Twenty-two and
one-half Conte ($ .225).
(B) For the Sinking Fund of s,-ald city for
the payr.ent of principal and interest on bonded indebted-
ness, etc., of said city on t.he one hundred dollars
assessed valuation, nine and one-half cents ($oQ95).
For the Firemen's Pension Fund of said

City on each ,one, hundred dollars assessed valuation, tvvyo

(D) For the Policenents pension Fund of said
City on each one hundred dollars assessed valuati.on, two

(r-.) For the City planning Commission of said
City on each one hundred dollars assessed valuation, five

(F ) For the Recreation _Futd of said city for
the maintenance and equipment of public playgrounds, under
the supervision of said city or Board of Trustees of the
School City of Richnond, Indiana,, on each one hundred
dollars assessed valuation, five hills ($ .005).

(G) lLnd there also shall be assessed and col-
lected on each 'Poll taxable with in said City of Richraonds
Indiana, the sum of Pifty cents (1$ *50).
Wcing a total rate on property within
and for the City of Richmond, lvfayne County, Indiana, the
sum of Thirty seven cents .37), on each one hundred
dollars assessed valuation.
SECTION 2 Said taxes shall -be collected and paid as
provided by an act of the general assenbly. of '01-e ,State of
Indiana, entitled, "An Act concerning municipal Corporations;'10
approved 11arch 6, 1905, and all parts amendatory or supple-
mental thereto. I
SECTION 30, This ordinance shall be In full force and
effect from -and after its passage and approval of the 1�ayor,
