Sec. $--56: AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING JOHN SERENA'S PROPERTY AT ROUTE 59
AND ROBERTS AVENUE, PLAIN~"IELD, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the real estate hereinafter described is contiguous
to the Village of Plainfield and is not included within the boundaries
of any other municipality; and
WHEREAS, no electors reside on the territory described; and
WHEREAS, the owner thereof has petitioned for annexation of
the property to the Village of Plainfield; and
WHEREAS, proper hearing has been held; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission has recommended annexation of
said territory; and
WHEREAS, it is for the best interest of said Village that said
territory be annexed to the Village of Plainfield.
• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND $OARD OF
TRUSTEES Off' THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD AS FOLLOWS:
Sec. 8-56-1: Territory Described. That the following described
tract of land hereinin calle territory, toWwit:
Lot 17 in Unit No 1 of Plainfield Acres, a Subdivision
of Part of the South 2301.Q feet of the West half of
the Southwest quartex of Section 15, Township 36 North,
Range 9 East o~ the Third Principal Meridian, according
to the Plat thereof recorded July 2l, 1951, in Plat
Book 27, page 55, as Document No. 69411.2, Plainfield
Township, Will County, 111inois.
Commonly known as:Illinois Route 59 and Roberts Avenue
Plainfield, Illinois
Sec. 8-56-Z: Village Limits Extended..- That the Village limits

tended to include the above described property.
Sec. 8-56-3: Ordinance No. 1 ~r-ended. That Ordinance No. 1
of the Village of Plaa.nf~.eld be amended as follows:

That the 1imi~s of ~.he Village of Plainfield shall be
. extended to include the tract of land described in
Sec. 8-56-1 hereof,
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with be, and the same are hereby repealed.
This Ordinance shall be numbered as Ordinance No. ~7r~
'and shall take effect upon its passage, approval and recording
in accordance with the provisions of the Statutes of the'
State of 11.linois in such case made and provided and the
Village Clerk sha11 certify two copies of this .Ordinance to-
gether with an accurate map of the annexed territory and file
same in the office of the County Clerk and the Village Clerk
shall certify a copy of this Ordinance together with an accurate.
map of the annexed territory and record same in the office of
the Recorder of Deeds of said Will County.

which was duly passed by the President and Board of Trustees of
said Village and approved by the President of the Board of Trustees

that the map attached is a true and accurate map of the property
to be annexed.

by certified mail on the Plainfield Free Public Library and its Baard
of Directors and on the Plainfield Fire. Protection District and its
Bnard of Trustees and on the Township Commissioner of Highways
concerning the proceedings culminating in the passage of the nrdinanee
attached hereto.
