REZONING AMENDMENTS TO ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 674,
CHAPTER 8, ARTICLE 6, SEC~ION$ 6-1 THROUGH 6-35
REZONING OF JOHN SERENA'S PfiOPERTY AT ROUTE 59
AND ROBERTS AVENUE, PLAINFIELD, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, a public hearing was duly advertised and held on
the amendment to said Chapter 8, Article G, Sections 6-1 through
6-35 (Ordinance No. 674) of said Village: of Plainfield as herein-
after set forth; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Plainfield
has heretofore filed a report of its acts and doings in .the premises
and its recommendation that the petition for the rezoning of all of
the real estate hereinafter described from Residence A-1 to B-4
District under said Chapter 8, Chapter 6, Sections 6~1 through
6-35, entitled,, "An Ordinance Requiring Permits fvr Buildings,
Structures, and Uses, Dividing the ~fillage into Districts, Speci-
fying Minimum T;ot Sizes, Set Backs and Side 'Yards, Regulating the
Bulk of Buildings, Providing for Appeals and Imposing Penalties,
be granted, and
WHEREAS, we believe that the highest and best use of the real
estate hereinafter described is for uses permitted in a B-4
District under said Chaptex' 8, Article 6, Sections 6-l through 6-35.
WHEREAS, no written objections to the rezoning of said .premises
were filed a,nd no one appeared in Berson to object to the rezoning
of said .real estate; and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion o£ the.l~resident and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Plainfield that the petition for the rezoning of
the real estate hereinafter described should be granted and that said,
real estate should be rezoned and reclassified from Residence A-1 to
B-4 District under said Zoning Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED EY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD AS FOLLOWS:
Sec. 7--42-1; Territrary Described. , That the fo~.lowing tract of

land, to-wit:
Lat 17 in Unit Na. 1 of Plainfield Acres, a Subdivision of part of the
South 2301.0 feet of the West 1/2 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 15,
.Township 36 North, Range 9 East of the Third Principal Merid~.an, according
to the Plat thereof recorded July 21, 1951, in Plat Baok 27, page 55, as
l7ocument Na. 694112, Plainfield Township, Will County, Illinois.

~rhich said tract of land is now a part o~ a Residence A--1
District as defined in Section 6-2 of said Chapter 8,
Article 6 (Ordinance #674) of the Village of Plainfield
of which this ordinance is amendatory, be and the sazne~is
hereby detached from said Residence A-1 District in
which the same is now classified and is hereby reclassified
and rezoned as B-4 District under said Chapter $, Article 6,
Section 6-2 (.ordinance X674) and is hereby added to and made
a part of B-4 District under said Chapter 8, Article 6,
Section 6-2.
Sec. 7-42-2: Tf Part Invalid. The invalidity of any part
or section hereo s all not effect the va:lidi~y of the re-
mainder hereof.
Sec. 7-42--3: This Ordinance, numbered as ',_ ? j , shall be
in full force and effect after its passage and approval.
