An Ordinance authorizing and directing the acceptance by the City of Richmond of a certain Bill of Sale from Public Service Company of Indiana, and authorizing and directing the payment of tEe sum of 0,509.09 to said Public Service Company of Indiana as the purchase price of the transformer.s, elec- trical equipment, personal property and chattels therein described. WHEREAS, Public Service Company of Indiana did, on the 27th day of January, 1937, in writing, propose and offer to sell and deliver to the City of Richmond, Indiana, for the sum of Three Thousand Five Hundred Nine Dollars and Nine Cents (0,509.09) , certain transformers, electrical equipment, personal property and chattels more particularly described in said written proposal now on file in the office of the City Clerk-Treasurer, which said written proposal and offer is, by reference thereto, hereby made a part hereof; and WHEREAS, it appearing to this Common Council that it was to the City' s best interests that said proposal and offer be accepted, the said written proposal and offer was accepted by said City pursuant to authority granted by the terms of a certain Resolution duly and regularly passed by this Common Council on the 1st day of ,March, 1937; and WHEREAS, said Public Service Company of Indiana has now delivered to this Common Council a written bill of sale, duly executed and acknowledged, selling and delivering the said trans- formers, electrical equipment, personal property and chattels to the City of Richmond, free and clear of all mortgage or other liens and encumbrances : NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, in Wayne County, Indiana: Section 1. That said Bill of Sale dated, executed, acknowledged and delivered by said Public Service Com- pany of Indiana on the / 3 day of 44444 A.D. 1937, be, and the same is hereby, approved, ratified, confirmed and accepted and the City Clerk-Treasurer be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to file and preserve the same in the records of the City. Section 2. That the Clerk-Treasurer of the City or the Custodian of the funds of the municipal electric lighting and power plant be, and he is hereby, authorized, empowered and directed to pay to Public Service Company of Indiana from said funds the sum of Three Thousand Five Hundred Nine Dollars and Nine Cents (0,509.09) in full payment and settlement for the transformers, electrical equipment, personal property and chattels sold and de- livered to the City of Richmond by said Bill of Sale dated, executed, acknowledged and delivered by said Pub- lic Service Company of Indiana on the /3 day of Earch, M Ay A.
