AN ORDINANCE
Amending Paragraph Five of Section Four and one-half of
an Ordinance Licensing and Regulating The Business of
Operating Taxicabs in the City of Richmond, Indiana.
AN ORDINANCE
to amend paragraph five of section four and one-half of
an ordinance licensing and regulating taxicabs in the
City of Richmond, Indiana, as passed by the Common Council
of the City of Richmond, Indiana, July 19 , 1926 and
amended by addition of section four and one-half, June
19 , 1933.
Section 1. Be it ordained •by the Common Council of the '
City of Richmond, -Indiana, 'that Paragraph . .
Five of Section Four and One-half be
stricken from an Ordinance Licensing and
Regulating the business of operating taxi-
cabs in the -City of Richmond, Indiana, ' as
passed by the Common Council of said City
July 19 , 1926 and amended June 19 , 1933,
and the following substituted in the place
of said paragraph Five :-
'
PARAGRAPH F I E OF SECTION FOUR AND ONE-HALF:
Every owner, operator or driver of any taxi-
cab shall collect and receive from any single
passenger in any taxi-cab owned or operated
by him a fee or charge of not more nor less
than Twenty-five Cents for any single and
continuous trip in such taxi-cab within the
limits of the City of Richmond Where more
than one passenger 'is carried for any single
and continuous trip within the limits of the
City of Richmond, such owner, operator or
driver shall collect and receive a flat fee
or charge of not more nor less than Fifteen
Cents for each and every passenger so carried,
provided however, that the said owner, operator
or driver of any .such taxicab may charge' and
collect for standing or waiting time of such
taxicab for each passenger so carried at the
rate of Ten Cents for each five minutes, of
said time .
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its pas-sage and approval by the
Mayor and publication according to law.
Passed by the Common Council of the. City of Richmond, Indiana,
