AN ORDINANCE TO. A.1.4END THE BUILDING CODE OF THE. CITY; OF..
RICHMOND, • INDI•ANA, and PROVIDING PEI\NALTIES . FOR THE 'VIOLATION •
THEREOF.
•
SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the
City . of ,Richmond, Indiana, that the building code of said city
,is hereby amended. •
SECTION 2.. Whenever it becomes 'necessary to add to or "
subtract from the requirements `"set: forth 'in :s i'd. Coded 'the •
Building Inspector of said City shall issue a ruling in regular
numerical - order Which 'ruling after being' passed by the Board of
Public Works • and Safety and published twice .each week for two •

• (2) consecutive weeks in a newspaper of general circulation in
• said City, shall becorne a part of said Building Code and be
subject to the provisions and penalties in said Ordinance
provided. Cost of publication to 'be paid by applicant.
SECTION 3. Whenever new construction or new. materials of
construction pass such- tests as . outlined in this Ordinance
they shall be adopted by the Building Inspector .as a, ruling
as above outlined. ,
SECTION :41. This ordinance shall be in full force and.
effect from .and after ,its ,passage and. approval by the Mayor , '
and. upon due publication thereof as required ?y law.
