HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrdinance 0790.-j ~~~~ CHAPTER 10 ARTICLE 5 AN ORDINANCE DEFINING THE USE OF ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR ON PUBLIC WAYS AS DISORDERLY CONDUCT BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND }30ARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINF2ELD, in meeting lawfully assembled, that Chapter 10, Article 5, Sec. 5-1, is hereby amended by adding the following: Sec. 5-]. The provisions of this Ordinance shall not apply to alcohol used in the manufacture of denatured alcohol produced in accordance with Acts of Congress and regulations promulgated there-~ under, nor to any liquid or solid containing one- .half of ane per cent, or less, of alcohol by volume. If any part of this Ordinance shall for any reason be held invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance. Any Ordinance or Ordinances in conflict herewith or sec- tions thereof is hereby repealed. It is not intended hereby to repeal Chapter 10, Article S, Sec. 5-1, Sec. 5-l (a) through Sec. 5-1 (d) . This Ordinance shall be effective from and after its pas- sage, approval and publication and shall be numbered as Ordinance No. 79© PASSED this ~7~`" day of October, 1.974.
