HILLSBOROUGH TOWN BOARD
May 20, 2002
7:00 PM, Town Barn
The Hillsborough Town Board held a Budget Work Session on May 20, 2002 at 7:30 PM in the
Hillsborough Town Barn. Present for the Budget Work Session were Mayor Joe Phelps and
Commissioners Frances Dancy, Evelyn Lloyd, Mark Sheridan, Kenneth Chavious, and Mike
Gering. Present were Town Manager Eric Peterson, Town Clerk Donna Armbrister, Finance
Director Sherry Carter, Planning Director Margaret Hauth, Town Engineer Kenny Keel, Public
Works Director/Assistant Town Manager Demetric Potts, Police Chief Nathaniel Eubanks,
Police Captain Ross Frederick, and Fleet Maintenance Supervisor/Mechanic John Cook.
Town Manager Eric Peterson presented the proposed budget and recommended the Board work
primarily toward proposed scenario #6 which did not include any state reimbursements.
The Manager reviewed Line Item Details for the Governing Body, Administration, Finance,
Planning, Ruffin Roulhac & Economic Development, Police, Fire Inspections/Code
Enforcement, Fire Protection, Motor Pool, Streets, Sanitation, Powell Bill, Cemetery, Fairview
Community Policing Center, and Special Appropriations and Tourism.
