ORDINANCE NO , '7 ~ ~
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY
TO THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the real, estate hereinafter described is con-
tiguous to the Village of Plainfield, a Municipal. Corporation, in
the County of Will, and State of Illinois, and
WHEREAS, the territory i.s uninhabited and unincorporated
territory and is owned by CHICAGO TITLE AND TRUST COMPANY, as Trus-
tee under the terms of a Trust Agreement known as Trust #59190 dated
May 1, 1972, and
WHEREAS, proper petition has been filed with the Village
Clerk, and said petition is pursuant to a pre-annexation agreement
passed unanimously by this Board April l7, 1972 by and between the
Village and Loren W. Smith, Irene Smith and Arthur H. Klawans, all
being predecessors in interest to the present owner,
WHEREAS, no el®ctors reside on the territory herein des-
cribed, and
WHEREAS, proper notices have been given and proper hear-
zngs held, and
WHEREAS, it is for the best interest of sal.d Village
that said territory be annexed to the Village of Plainfield.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, ILLINOIS:
SECTION l: That the following described tracts of land
herein called territory, to-wit:
Parcel No. 1
The North 1.348.46 feet of the West half of the
Southwest S~uarter of Section 4, Township 36 North,
Range 9 East of the third principal meridian,
Plainfield Township, Will County, Illinois con-
taining 41.022 acres more or less of which 1.022
acres are in the road right-of-way.
Parcel No. 2
That part of the East 50 feet of the West half
of the Southwest quarter of Section 4, Township
35 North, Range 9 East of the third principal.

inois lying South of the North 1348.45 feet of
said West half and containing 1..491 acres more
or less.

be and the same is hereby annexed to and declared a part of the
Village of Plainfield, a Municipal Corporation.
SECTION 2: That the Village limits of the Village of
Plainfield be and the same are hereby extended to include the
above described territory.
SECTION 3: That Ordinance No. 1 of the Village of
Plainfield be amended as follows:
"That the limits of the Village of Plainfield
shall be extended to include the tracts of land
bounded and described in Section 1 hereof".
SEGTION ~: That the tract of land described in Section
1 hereof is subject to a certain pre-annexation agreement dated
April 17, 1972, and that proper hearings on the pre-annexation
agreem®nt and petition for annexation have been held pursuant to
Statute, and that both the pre-annexation agreement and petition for
annexation having been unanimously approved by this Board.
SECTION 5: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION ~: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its
passage, approval, and recording in accordance with the provisions
of the Statutes of the State of Illino~.s, in such cases made and
provided and that the Village Clerk shall certify a copy of this
Ordinance together With an accurate map of the annexed territory
and record sam~a in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of said
dill C9unty.
