'~- AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, ILLINOIS i. ~ y •. ~. a ~ WHEREAS, the real estate hereinafter described is con- tiguous to the Village of Plainfield, a Municipal Corporation, in the County of Will, and State of Illinois, and WHEREAS, the. territory is uninhabited and unincorporated territory and is owned by OAK PARK NATIONAL BANK, as Trustee under the. terms of a Trust Agreement known as Trust #8672, and WHEREAS, proper petition has been filed with the Village Clerk, and WHEREAS, no electors reside on the territory herein described, and WHEREAS, proper notices have been given and proper hearings held, and WHEREAS, it is for the best interest of said Village that said. territory be annexed to the Village of Plainfield. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, ILLINOIS: SECTION. I: That the following described tracts of land herein called territory, to-wit: That part of Farm Lots One and Five in Arnold's Addition to Plainfield in the Southeast Quarter of Section 9, Township 36 North, Range 9 East of the Third Principal Meridian described as follows: Beginning at the Northeast corner of said Lot Ong, in the center of the DuPage River; thence West along. the North line of said Lot One and the North line of said Southeast Quarter, a distance of 554.44 feet, more or less, to a point that is 1011.75 feet west of the Northeast corner of said Southeast Quarter; thence Southerly along a line that forms an angle of 86 degrees 20 minutes with said North line of said South- east Quarter, as measured from East to South, a distance of 477.43 feet; thence Southeasterly along a line that forms an angle of 145 degrees 57 minutes with the last described line, as measured from North through East, a distance of 339 feet, more or less, to the center of the DuPage River, thence Northeasterly along. the center of said River to the place of beginning; in Will County, Illinois, and Y J } ~ ~ • ~ ~' s ~ _ ~r r - 2 - That Part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 9, Township 36 North, Range 9, East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows: Commencing at the point of intersection of the Easterly right of way line of the Elgin, Joliet, and Eastern Railway Company (formerly Gardner, Coal City and .Northern Railway) and the center- line of U. S. Route 30, said point being 57.71 feet Northeasterly of the South line of said Southeast 4uarter of Section 9, as measured along said Railway right of way; thence Easterly along said centerline of Highway, a distance of 51.26 feet for a place of beginning; thence North- easterly, a distance of 781.13 feet to a point which is 70.0 feet Easterly of, measured perpen- dicular to, the Easterly right of way line of said Railway; thence Northeasterly along a line 70.0 feet Easterly of and parallel to said Easterly Railway right of way line, a distance of 1546.65 feet to a paint, said point also being 444.40 feet Southwesterly of the North line of said Southeast Quarter of Section 9, as measured along a Northerly extension of said parallel line; thence Easterly along a line. that forms an angle of 109 degrees l8 minutes 15 seconds with the last described line, as measured from South to East, a distance of 510.23 feet to a point; thence Southerly along a line. that forms an angle of 93 degrees 40 minutes with the last described line, as measured from West to South, a distance of 57.18 feet; thence Southeasterly along a line that forms an angle of 145 degrees 07 minutes with the last described line as measured from North through East, a distance of 339 feet, more or less, to the center of the DuPage River; thence Southwesterly along the center of said DuPage River; to the center of the U, S. Route 30 Baridge; thence West- erly along the centerline of said U. S. Route 30, a distance of 270.63 feet to the place of beginning, in Will County, Illinois, be and the same is hereby annexed to and declared a part of the Village of Plainfield, a Municipal Corporation. SECTION 2: That the Village limits of the Village of Plainfield be and the same are hereby extended to include the above described territory. SECTION 3: That Ordinance No. ]. of the Village of Plainfield be amended as follows: "That the limits of the Village of Plainfield shall be extended to include the tracts of land bounded and described in Section l hereof". h Y r' ~. That. the tract of land described in Section l hereof is subject to a certain pre-annexation agreement dated February 1, 1971, and that proper hearings on the pre-annexation agreement and petition for annexation have been held pursuant to Statute. SECTION 5: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and. the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 6: This Ordinance shall. take effect upon its passage, approval and recording in accordance with the provisions of the Statutes of the State of Illinois, in such cases made and provided and that the.., Village Clerk shall certify a copy of this Ordinance.. together with an accurate map of the annexed territory and record same in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of said Will County.
