WHEREAS, on June 19; 2012, the City Council of the City of Lynwood awarded
the Slurry Seal Improvement at Various Locations Project contract to American Asphalt
South, Inc. in the amount of $496,520; and
WHEREAS, the project started on August 13,E 2012 and was completed on
November 9, 2012; and I
WHEREAS, the project was funded with the 1 B bond and Measure R funds; and
WHEREAS, the final construction cost is $558,694.17, which includes Contract
Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $62,174.17 for additional work and the final
reconciliation of quantities; and
WHEREAS, the current project budget is not adequate to cover the final
construction cost, but staff has identified additional funds that can be financed for this
project; and _...
WHEREAS, Public Works staff conducted the final inspection on December 5,
2012 and found that all work is complete in accordance with the-project plans and
specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City 1 of Lynwood approves Contract
Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $62,174.17 for the project contract with American
Asphalt South, Inc. for the Slurry Seal Improvement at Various Locations Project,
Project No. 4011.67.906.
Section 2. That the City Council of the Citylof Lynwood accepts the Slurry
Seal at Various Locations Project, Project No. 4011.6 1.906 as complete in accordance
with contract documents and authorizes the Acting Director of Public Works to process
the Recordation of the Notice of Completion.
Section 3. That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to .make the
following funds appropriation and transfer:

Section 4. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its 'adoptioh.
