HomeMy Public PortalAbout06-10-2021 THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND,INDIANA, JUNE 10, 2021 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., Thursday, June 10, 2021, in the Hutton Community Room at the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street,Richmond, Indiana. CALL TO ORDER President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Vicki Robinson, Emily Palmer and Matt Evans. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels, Assistant City Attorney, via Zoom; Monica Burns, Deputy City Clerk; Kara Messler, Purchasing; Greg Stiens, Director of Public Works and Engineering; Fire Chief Jerry Purcell; Jefferson Reece, Community Development; and, Media via Zoom. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Ms. Palmer moved to approve the minutes of June 3,2021, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Evans moved to approve the Claims for Payment for June 11, 2021 in the amount of Four Hundred Four Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty Four Dollars and forty six cents ($404,964.46), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Evans moved to approve a Special Payroll Claims for Payment for June 4, 2021 in the amount of Two Thousand Three Hundred Twenty Five Dollars and thirty seven cents ($2,325.37), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT FOR PENSION-None REQUESTS -None BID OPENINGS • RENOVATION OF FIRE STATION NO. 3 Board of Works Minutes June 10,2021 Those bids are as follows: Thor Construction- $88,912.00 Whisenhunt Construction- $99,750.00 These bids were taken under advisement. BID AWARDS • COMMUNITY CROSSINGS STREET REHABILITATION PROJECT Milestone Contractor's L.P. was the only bidder on this project and it is recommended that they be awarded this bid. It is not to exceed $390,353.00. The State will contribute $180,510.00. The City will contribute $209,843.00 with $180,510.00 coming from TIF funds and $29,333.00 coming from the Local Road and Streets funds. Ms.Palmer moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. • DEMOLITION OF 4 PROPERTIES The award is recommended to be given to B&B Construction because they were the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. Not to exceed$25,800.00. Mr.Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Palmer.Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. CONTRACTS • CONTRACT NO. 60-2021-ESO SOLUTIONS,INC This contract was approved at the May 13, 2021 meeting and was redlined by the vendor and needs to be rescinded because it was never executed. Ms. Palmer moved to rescind, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. • REVISED CONTRACT NO. 60-2021 —ESO SOLUTIONS,INC They will provide services in connection with ongoing subscription, licensing,and support in connection with a management software package for scheduling, inspection,and various record-keeping tasks, for the Fire Department, which professional services shall include, but shall not be limited to, ongoing licensing, implementation, and customization of the software, and administrative support. Ms.Palmer moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans.Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried.
