Re: Ordinance 30-2021 Grant Ordinance – FAA
Ordinance 30-2021 is an Appropriation Ordinance Authorizing the Submittal, Acceptance and Appropriation of a grant from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
The Federal Aviation Administration (“FAA”) has funding available through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (H.R. 1319, Public Law 1172-2) signed into law on March 11, 2021 which includes $8 billion in funds to be awarded as economic assistance to eligible U.S. airports to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Richmond Municipal Airport has been awarded an allocation of $32,000 to be used for reimbursement of operations costs incurred during the period beginning January 20, 2020 through March 11, 2021. There is no local match requirement for these funds.
