Minutes of Meeting: 07 March 2019
The Hopkinton Open Space Preservation Commission (OSPC) met in Room 215, Town Hall, 18
Main Street Hopkinton, Massachusetts.
Present: Fran DeYoung, Ed Harrow, Brendan Tedstone
7:30 PM: Review email from Director of Land Use and Town Operations
A discussion was held about the request to transfer jurisdiction for the following five town open
space parcels to the OSPC: 192 Hayden Rowe; 0 Hayden Rowe (U24 10 0); 0 Hayden Rowe
(U24 10 A); 0 Granite Street (U25 11 0); 0 Hayden Rowe (R34 16 1). Mr. Tedstone made a
motion to have the Director of Land Use either provide additional information as to the reason
and intent of transferring jurisdiction from the Board of Selectmen to the OSPC or attend the
next OSPC meeting to explain the request. The motion was seconded by Mr. DeYoung and it
passed unanimously.
8:00 PM: OSPC Business
A discussion was held with Mr. Barry Rosenbloom, Hopkinton Area Land Trust, about the draft
letter regarding 0 Sylvan Way (R16 27 0). Mr. DeYoung made a motion to issue the letter as
drafted. The motion was seconded by Mr. Tedstone and it passed unanimously.
A discussion was held about 0 Wood Street (U6 21 0) as a potential open space parcel of interest.
The OSPC determined to seek further information subject to the parcel and its availability.
Mr. Tedstone made a motion to approve the draft minutes of 03 January 2019 as amended. The
motion was seconded by Mr. DeYoung and it passed unanimously.
8:15 PM: Adjournment
Mr. Tedstone made a motion to adjourn the public meeting. The motion was seconded by Mr.
DeYoung and it passed unanimously.
