AMENDED RESOLUTION NO. 7-2021
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A SAFETY MANAGEMENT POLICY AND PUBLIC
TRANSPORTATION AGENCY SAFETY PLAN(PTASP)FOR ROSE VIEW TRANSIT
WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works and Safety for the City of Richmond, Indiana ("Board"), is
the executive safety board for the City charged with the review and acceptance of policies
and plans pertaining to the City's public transit division, commonly known as the Rose
View Transit public transportation system, or "RVT" when policies and plans are
developed and submitted from time to time; and
WHEREAS, The Indiana Department of Transportation ("INDOT) through its Public Transit Section
has approved a Safety Management Policy and Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan
(hereinafter "PTASP" or "Plan") for the City administration and RVT, which Plan is
attached to this Resolution as Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, It is in the best interest of the City of Richmond that the Plan be approved and adopted by
the City for use and compliance by the RVT public transportation division and staff.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, that said Board hereby approves the Safety Management Policy and-Public
Transportation Agency Safety Plan attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW THEREFORE,BE IT ALSO RESOLVED that Emily Palmer as Board Member shall be authorized
to sign any approval documents on behalf of the Board and Terri Quinter shall be authorized to sign any
approval documents as the"Accountable Executive"referenced in said Plan.
Passed and adopted this 22nd day of July, 2021, by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of
Richmond,Indiana.
