AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE SOUTH PORTION OF
THE PLATN~'SELD TUTnTNSHTP CEMETERY
WHEREAS, at the November m®eting of the :Plainfield Cemetery Board
the Trustees of said Cemet~;ry adopted a Resolution indics.ting a desire
on the part of said Cemetery Board to have the territory hereinafter
described annexed to the Village of Plainfield, and
WHEREAS, the North and West sides of said t®rritory abutt the
corporate limits of the Village of ~'lainfield, and
WHEREAS, it is for the hest interest of said Village that said
territory b® annexed to the Vills.ge of Plainfi®ld.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAT~-'ED ~3Y THE PRESIDENT AI~]17 BOARD OF
TRUSTEEryS OF THE VILLAGE OF PLATNFTEI:,D, ILLINOIS:
SECTION l: That the following described tract of Land herein
called territory, to-wit:
The North Ten (l0) acres of the West Half (W`) of the S outh-
wes t Quarter (SW4) of S ~: coon ~'if teen (ls) in Township '~'h.irty--
six (36) North, Range Nine (9) East of the Third Principal
1~Ieridis,n, in Will County, Illinois, the same being commonly
known as the new part of the Plainfield Township Cemetery,
be, a.nd the same is hereby annexed to and dec7.ared apart of the Villag®
of Plainfield, a iy'~unicipal Corporation.
SECTION 2; That the Village limits of the Vills~ge of Plainfield
b®, and the same are hereby extended to include the above described
territory.
SECTlOiV ,~, That Ordinance No. 1 of the Village of ~'lainfield be
am®nded s,s follows
That the limits of the Village of Plainfield sha11 be extended
to include the tract of land described in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION L~,: Th~.t all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewi th be, and the s~:me are her®by repealed.
SECTION ~: This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage,
approval and recording in accordance with the provisions of the Statutes
of the State of Illinois in such case made and provided and th~.t the
Village Clerk shall certify a copy of this Ordinance together with an
accurate map of the annexed territory a.nd record same in the Office of
the Recorder of Deeds of said Will County.
