Section 1. `T'hat O~d.inance No, ~22A of the Vill.a~e of Plainfield, entitled "A.n Ordinance Amending Ordinance No. 410 of the Villaf;e of Plainfield, County of "7111 and State of Illinois" passed. and.. approved an the 4th day of March, A. D. 11~~~, be and the same is herebT amended. as follows: A. lay deleting Paragraph 3b. of said. Ordinance No. 522A and in- setting in lieu thereof the following: ~~?,;. By deleting the second sentence of Section 3f. of said Ordinance No. J22A which reads as follows : "ri':!~e method caf handling FIRE CALLS, will. be issued by the Chief of tn.e Plainfield Volunteer Fire Department and approved by the Plainfield Fire District Trustees," and by ic.serting in lieu thereof the following: Tn the event of FIT3,E CALLS, Police Officers in the perfopm~.nce of duty shall control traffic within the Corporate limits of the Village of Pla~.n-- field in the ir~.terest pf public safety and irz the interest of the .free movement of and. the uninterrupted use of Fire Equipment, but shall. '.not ga beyond the corporate limits of the V11.lage of l~lainfield« C, By deleting the first sentence of paragraph 3g of said Ordinance No. ~2~A and i.nerti ~ in lieu th~:reof 'the folloti~Jir~r~: The Chief of Police znay suspend without pay any afficer of the Police Department for the violation of ~.r~y of the provisions of this Ordinance for a ~?eriod not exceedx thirty (:~0) days. In th^ eve~zt the Malice afficer is f oun.d to be pat gu~.lty of the cause far which he was suspended, pay withheld be- cause of the suspeta.s ion shall be promptly paid to such afficer « ~. .~ ~ ...
