THE CITY OF RICHMOND,INDIANA,MONDAY,JANUARY 4,1999
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana met in special session at 7:25 p.m. Monday,
January 4, 1999, in the Council Chambers in said City.President Bruce Wissel presided with the following
Councilmembers present: Etta Lundy, Robert Dickman, Sarah "Sally" Hutton, Geneva "Gene" Allen,
Dennis R. Rice Sr, Bing Welch and Larry Parker. Howard "Jack" Elstro was absent. The following
business was conducted:
ELECTION OF OFFICERS
President Wissel asked for nominations for offices of President and Vice president of the Common Council
for 1999.
Councilmember Allen nominated Councilmember Welch as President,second by Councilmember Rice and
Councilmember Parker moved the nominations be closed,second by Councilmember Rice and the motion
to elect Councilmember Welch as President was carried on a unanimous voice vote.
Councilmember Dickman nominated Councilmember Allen as Vice President,second by Councilmember
Welch who also moved the nominations be closed,second by Councilmember Rice and the motion to elect
Councilmember Allen as Vice President was carried on a unanimous voice vote. -
CALL FOR ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business,on a motion duly made,seconded and passed,the meeting was adjourned.
