PROCEEDINGS OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CIT-Y-OF-RICHMOND,IND-IANA,MONDAY,JANUA-R-Y 3,y994
1 The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana met in a special session at 7:25 p.m. Monday,
2 January 3, 1994, in the Council Chambers in said City. President Lundy presided with the following

Councilmembers present: Elstro, Brookbank, Donat, McBride, Parker, Allen, Dickman and Hutton. The
following business was had to-wit:

8 President Lundy announced that the purpose of this meeting is to select a President and Vice President for
9 1994. She thanked her colleagues for having selected her to serve during the past year, noting that it had
1.0 been a difficult year but a good learning experience for which she was grateful. She added that she felt 1994
11 will be the year when things are going to turn around.

13 Councilmember McBride nominated Councilmember Parker for President, second by Councilmember
14 Brookbank, and the motion was carried on a unanimous voice vote. Councilmember McBride moved the
15 nominations be closed, second by Councilmember Hutton and the motion was carried on a unanimous voice
16 vote.

18 Councilmember Parker was elected Chairperson of the Common Council for 1994 on a unanimous voice
19 vote.

21 Councilmember Donat nominated Councilmember Hutton for Vice President, second by Councilmember
22 Parker and the motion was carried on a unanimous voice vote. Councilmember McBride moved the
23 nominations be closed, second by Councilmember Parker and the motion was carried on a unanimous voice
24 vote.

26 Councilmember Hutton was elected Vice Chairperson of the Common Council for 1994 on a unanimous
27 voice vote.

31 There being no further business,on a motion duly made,seconded and passed,the meeting was adjourned.
