4:30 P.M. Greencastle City Hall
Call to Order; Roll Call
A. Mayor Murray called the special session to order at 4:35 PM; upon roll call by Deputy
Clerk Treasurer Pam Pierce the following council members were present: Adam
Cohen, Jinsie Bingham, Mark Hammer, Terry J. Smith and Phyllis Rokicki.
II. Public Petitions and Comments
III. First Reading of Ordinance 2010 -1, An Ordinance Approving the Transfer of
Approximately 14.63 Acres of Land in Greencastle to Ivy Tech Community Colleges of
Indiana
A. Mayor Murray read this Ordinance in its entirety. Discussion.
1. Motion by Mark Hammer to approve on first reading as presented, second by
Adam Cohen, motion passed; abstain by Phyllis Rokicki.
IV. Department Reports
A. Park
1. Rod Weinschenk shared report with Council, reviewing 2009 and discussed
goals for 2010.
B. Utilities
1. Richard Hedge, acting Supervisor in the absence of George Russell gave
updated information to the Council and reported on 2010 goals.
C. Fire
1. Fire Chief Bill Newgent presented his report for 2009 and goals for 2010.
Discussion.
D. Police
1. Chief Tom Sutherlin discussed his goals for 2010 and the desire to replace some
of the vehicles. Discussion.
V. Adjournment
A. Motion by Jinsie Bingham to adjourn at 6:40 PM, second by Phyllis Rokicki,
unanimous approval.
