HomeMy Public PortalAbout06-07-2021 PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR RICHMOND POWER&LIGHT JUNE 7,2021 The Board of Directors for Richmond Power&Light Plant met in regular session on June 7, 2021, immediately following the regular meeting of the Richmond Common Council, in the Community Room of the Municipal Building in said City. Chairperson Turner presided. ROLL CALL: Board members present were Doug Goss, Kelley Cruse Nicholson, Bill Engle, Jeffrey Locke, Gary Turner, Jane Bumbalough, and Larry Parker. Absent were Board Members Cappa and Oler. • Also present were: Tony Foster, General Manager; Kim Vessels, Assistant Corporate Council;Karen Chasteen,City Clerk;Emily Palmer,Controller;Randy Kouns, Information and Technology; and Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Board Member Locke moved to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting held May 3, 2021, supported by Board Member Bumbalough. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. APPROVAL OF BILLS,INVESTMENTS AND TRANSFERS: Upon recommendation of the Finance Committee,Board Member Parker moved to approve claims for payments in the amount of Six Million Eight Hundred Forty Nine Thousand Five Hundred Seventy Three Dollars and ninety nine cents (6,849,573.99)supported by Board Member Bumbalough.Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. OLD BUSINESS: • Board Member Parker moved to award the bid for a 2021 Mid-size SUV for Parallax to Cronin Toyota in the amount of$24,590 (with trade in), supported by Board Member Bumbalough. The motion passed with a 7- 0 roll call vote. • Board Member Locke moved to accept the Proof of Publication to accept bids for anew vacuum excavator trailer for the line department,supported by Board Member Engle. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried.. yV RP&L—Board of Directors Minutes June 7,2021 Page 2 Bids received were: Best Equipment Company, Indianapolis $108,775 Eco Infrastructure Solutions,Whitestown $116,775 Vermeer Midwest,Fishers $ 98,975 Southeastern Environmental,Indianapolis $ 95,900 Ditch Witch Midwest,Brownsburg $ 99,500 Offering a trade in of$10,000 Board Member Engle moved to refer the bids to the General Manager for due diligence, supported by Board Member Bumbalough. REPORT BY GENERAL MANAGER: • A meeting to discuss the Coal Combustion Residual (Coal Ash) is scheduled for June 28,2021, 6:00 pm,in the Auditorium at the Richmond Power and Light Service Building. • A virtual American Public Power Agency conference will be held July 13- 14,2021. • Rich Cody retired from Parallax with 21 years of service.
