A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING THE
AGREEMENT BETWEEN LOS ANGELES METROPOLITAN
TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (LACMTA) AND THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
(CITY) FOR ACCEPTANCE OF $800,000 TOD GRANT AWARD
WHEREAS, on September 10, 2012, the City submitted a grant
application for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority,
2012 Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Planning Grant Program Round 3;
and
WHEREAS, on March 7, 2013 the Community Development Department
Director received notice via e-mail that the City of Lynwood was awarded the
Grant in an amount of $800,000 at the LACMTA Board of Director's meeting of
February 28, 2013; and
WHEREAS, as an in -kind match, the City has pledged $89,500 of
regular, non - overtime work _hours towards the implementation of project(s)
related to the subject'Grant; and
WHEREAS, iri order to receive the funds, an agreement between
LACMTA and the City must be executed and entered into no later than April 28,
2013; and
WHEREAS, the funds will be distributed on a performance and
reimbursement basis over approximately a 24 month period; and
WHEREAS, LACMTA has submitted its Agreement to the City and it has
been brought before the City Council for approval and execution.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City hereby authorizes the acceptance of the Grant
award from the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority in the
amount $800,000 for Transit Oriented Development Planning.
Section 2. The City Council hereby directs the Finance Department to
make the appropriate amendments to the affected budget document(s) to reflect
the reception of such funding as determined by the Community Development
Director as it pertains to subject Agreement.
Section 3 . The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager or his
designee (as indicated in the subject Agreement) to take necessary steps,
including the execution of agreements and other related documents with

LACMTA, subject to approval of Form of such agreements by the City Attorney,
to undertake the implementation of the all grant/project related functions as
described in subject Agreement.
Section 4 . This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
