A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING A
FIVE -YEAR AGREEMENT TO ARAMARK UNIFORM & CAREER APPAREL, LLC FOR A
TOTAL AMOUNT OF $45,120 FOR EMPLOYEE UNIFORM RENTAL AND PRODUCT
SERVICES AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the City provides four clean, pressed uniforms per employee per week to
approximately 50 field employees; and
WHEREAS, in compliance with the Lynwood Municipal Code, staff sent out the
employee uniform rental and product services bid proposal to various vendors and
advertised the bid proposal on December 13, 2012; and
WHEREAS, the bid opening took place in the office of the City Clerk on January 10,
2013 at 10:00 a.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the agreement for employee uniform rental and product services
be awarded to Aramark Uniform & Career Apparel, LLC for its bid of $173.54 per week. The
length of the contract is for five (5) years for a total of $45,120. The effective date of the
agreement is expected to begin in mid May 2013.
Section 2. That the City Council rejects the bids submitted by So Cal Uniform
Services and Cintas Corporation for being non - responsive.
Section 3. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the Agreement between
the City of Lynwood and Aramark Uniform & Career Apparel, LLC.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
