A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE,
FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF RESOLUTION 2013-
24 RELATING TO THE BUDGET PUBLIC HEARING
DATES; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on July 2, 2013, the Village of Key Biscayne (the "Village") Village Council
adopted Resolution 2013-24 (the "Resolution") providing for the budget public hearing dates; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to the adoption of the Resolution, Miami -Dade County (the
"County") modified its budget public hearing schedule, which created a conflict with the Village's
public hearing dates; and
WHEREAS, as a matter of law, the Village and the County are not permitted to have budget
public hearings on the same dates; and
WHEREAS, as such, the Village Council desires to amend the Resolution and provide for
different budget public hearing dates; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council finds that this resolution is in the best interest and welfare
of the residents of the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF KEY
BISCAYNE, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Recitals Adopted. That each of the recitals stated above is hereby adopted
and confirmed.
Section 2. Resolution Amended. That Section 3 of the Resolution is hereby amended
as follows:
Section 3. That the date, time and place of the first and second public hearings is hereby
set by the Village Council as follows:
