RESOLUTION NO. 2016-073
A RESOLUTION APPROVING ALLIANT ENERGY TO INSTALL A
STREET LIGHT AT THE INTERSECTION OF RAILROAD AND COLLEGE STREET
AND FOR THE CITY OF TIFFIN TO ACCEPT FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
THEREOF
Whereas, The City recognizes that Alliant Energy needs a Resolution to move forward
with the installation of a street lights at the intersection of Railroad and College Street;
and,
Whereas, The City recognizes and accepts the financial responsibility that comes with
the installation of the street light;
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to approve
Alliant Energy to install a street light at the intersection of Railroad and College Street
and accept financial responsibility thereof.
On the 6t" day of December, 2016, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin,
Iowa, Councilperson Ryan introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2016-073, A RESOLUTION
APPROVING ALLIANT ENERGY TO INSTALL A STREET LIGHT AT THE
INTERSECTION OF RAILROAD AND COLLEGE STREET AND FOR THE CITY OF
TIFFIN TO ACCEPT FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY THEREOF and made a motion for
approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Upton.
Ayes: Upton, Bartels, Havens, Ryan
Nays: None.
Absent: Kahler.
Whereupon four Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 2016-073, A RESOLUTION APPROVING
ALLIANT ENERGY TO INSTALL STREET LIGHT AT THE INTERSECTION OF
RAILROAD AND COLLEGE STREET AND FOR THE CITY OF TIFFIN TO ACCEPT
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY THEREOF to be adopted and signified his approval of
the same by affixing his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 6t"day of December, 2016.
