SPECIAL JOINT MEETING
September 7, 2012
The Moab City Council held a Special Joint City/County Council Meeting
on the above date at the Council Chambers of the Grand County
Courthouse, located at 125 East Center Street, Moab, Utah. Mayor
David L. Sakrison called the Special Meeting to order at 11:31 AM. In
attendance were Councilmembers Kyle Bailey, Kirstin Peterson, Jeffrey
Davis and Gregg Stucki. Also in attendance were City Manager Donna
Metzler, City Recorder/Assistant City Manager Rachel Stenta, Public
Works Director Jeff Foster and Administrative Analyst /Economic
Development Specialist Kenneth F. Davey. In attendance for Grand
County were Councilmembers Gene Ciarus, Ken Ballantyne, Jim Nyland,
Pat Holyoak, Chris Baird and Audrey Graham.
Moab Regional Hospital CEO Roy Barraclough made a presentation
regarding possible funding sources in support of Moab Regional
Hospital's efforts to be eligible for participation in the Medicaid
Disproportionate Share (DSH) Program. Discussion followed.
Mayor Sakrison made a presentation regarding issues concerning the
Atlas tailings pile cleanup. Discussion followed.

Mayor Sakrison adjourned the Special Meeting at 1:35 PM. ADJOURNMENT
