RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE
FEDERAL EQUITABLE SHARING AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret (the "Borough") wishes to be able to use
federally forfeited cash, property, proceeds and interest to enhance the Carteret
Police Department; and
WHEREAS, in order to receive said funds the Borough is required to enter into a
Federal Equitable Sharing Agreement (the"Agreement"); and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have determined that it is in the best interest
of the Borough to enter into the Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret that the Mayor, Municipal Clerk and Police Chief are authorized
to execute a Federal Equitable Sharing Agreement on behalf of the Borough.
Adopted this 15th day of April, 1999
and certified as a true copy of the original
on April 16, 1999,
